If
you’re looking for a series to get into, prepare to be amazed! Eon is
the first book in a two book series. Eona being the second. This book is
set in imperial China where the population relies on Dragoneyes to make sure that
there are no typhoons to ruin their crops, to make sure that the their spirit
are satisfied lest destruction comes over the land.
The story begins with
Eona, and to-be Dragoneye apprentice, disguising herself as a boy to escape the
life of peasantry. Under the name Eon, she trains diligently to be chosen as an
apprentice despite her leg disability. As the days to the choosing get closer, Eona’s
nerves get higher as she realizes what might happen if she is not chosen or her
true identity is discovered.
Eon is a larger
book with 531 pages of awesomeness, and worth every page. Eon is unlike
any book that I’ve read and will open your eyes to the reading world.
