The book Matched is about Cassia, who lives in a world where all relationships and jobs are chosen by the government based on your personality, likes, looks, and desires. Though people are generally happy with their match, Cassia questions the system after she is almost matched with someone who should not even be in the system. She wonders what happens to the ones that aren’t allowed to be matched or have deformities of any kind.

Cassia finds the boy who the system originally matched her to and some of her questions are starting to get answered. As the story progresses Cassia realizes her way of life is more fragile than she would like to admit.

            Matched is the first book in this trilogy. Crossed is the second, with Reached as the third. I recommend this book to those who enjoy futuristic like books. This book is almost like the series Uglies by Scott Westerfield. So, just sit back and open up Matched and fall in love.
